The patented UMC Innovation BLM‑3000 Barb Lokk Machine redefines what’s possible in barbed wire manufacturing. Engineered for performance and flexibility, the BLM‑3000 seamlessly produces High Tensile Reverse Twist and Iowa‑style barbed wire. This is all done on a single machine with minimal downtime when switching between barb styles.

Designed to grow with your operation, the BLM‑3000 can be delivered with one dedicated tooling set for customers focused on a single wire type. When your needs expand, a second tooling set can be added, unlocking the ability to manufacture both barbed wire styles on the same platform, without investing in an entirely new machine.

Machine Function & Design

  • Two Machines In One

    The BLM-3000 Machine produces Barb Wire in various roll sizes and knot types used for numerous applications from Livestock to Security and Exclusion Fencing.

  • Machine Speed

    The machine’s mechanics and automation are engineered to operate in complete harmony at the highest speed possible, delivering significant production gains of 400 barbs per minute.

  • Fast Change Overs

    To change between different types of Barb Wire, all that is required is the operator to change the Wire Type and thread through the Machine. HMI settings will set the barb pitch twist rate.

  • Vertical Manufacturing

    Rolls are manufactured vertically. Integrated layering with minimal footprint for increased ergonomics for roll handling.

  • Continuous Production

    Finished rolls are automatically removed to the tie-off and pickup zone, allowing for continuous production with minimal operator intervention.

  • Production Metrics

    Reporting module provides for Machine displayed operational status including faults, run hours, mechanical history. Mobile device compatible with remote distribution of reports.

  • Variable Barb Length

    Adjustable to meet ASTM 121.

  • Variable Twist Rate

    Operator adjustable via HMI.

  • 2.pt and 4.pt Barb
